This is not a fairytale. I learned that quite a few months ago. Naively, we went into this thinking "Oh! We want to have a baby now" and expected that it would happen because we wanted it to. And, for some that does work. Not for me - or many others like me. It's hard. It's emotional. It sometimes gets the best of you. So, after over a year of trying to conceive and a PCOS diagnosis, I find myself here - trying to believe.

At this point

We aren't actively TTC anymore. At least for now. It's been a long and unsuccessful road. It's left me with a lot of unanswered questions about why it isn't happening for us. So with the super long cycle, we end the active portion and enter the NTNP, or "not trying, not preventing." I'm gonna try to get things sorted out with my body and find out what is going on. I've suspected PCOS for a long time now, I've just never had the tests done. And with nursing school approaching in July, it makes sense to put this on the back burner because I really don't want to be pregnant for that. After these 14 months of trying, I've just lost my hope. It's going to still be really hard to not try because I still want it very much. I think I will start ending my posts with a quote - I love quotes. Well, words in general. Music lyrics, too. They kind of encapsulate what I'm thinking/feeling, because sometimes I just ramble :P

Love the moment. Flowers grow out of dark moments. Therefore, each moment is vital. It affects the whole. Life is a succession of such moments and to live each, is to succeed.

A very unexciting update

So according to FF, I O'd on CD 13 and that puts me at 7DPO today. My Fertility Monitor never peaked. But I read that can be expected in many cases the first cycle using it. I guess I'll start testing tomorrow. I really don't feel like this is it.

Impatient

I am still waiting to O. I say still, and I'm only on CD12! But I'm so impatient this cycle I want to be the end so I can see if I had the desired result--one word on a digital test "Pregnant." I'm marinating, as I lovingly refer to lying down after DTD. Still no peak on my monitor but my CM seems to be transitioning nicely into fertile. So, nothing new really. Still just waiting.

High!

The monitor requested a stick today. And lo and behold...high reading. Woohoo!

Soy Oh Boy

So yesterday was CD5, which means it was time for me to start taking Soy. I took 100mg (2 1/2 pills). I had no bad side effects. Maybe I was a little hot, but that was it. This morning I woke up to AF...back again a little heavier. I hope this stuff works.

Magic Package

I got a package today from a fellow TTC-er. She tried soy and didn't like it so she sent it to me. I start it tomorrow. I hope it makes me O!

New tricks

I used my monitor today. It was pretty simple . It didn't ask for a test so I didn't have to pee on anything yet. My soy is on the way. A friend from a forum I'm a member of is sending me some. This cycle is going to be like a science experiment--new gadgets and supplements that I hope will make me ovulate and help me confirm it. I also read that sperm count is  highest in the morning, so on days that I get a peak, or even high reading we are going to DTD before DH even makes it out of bed. I figure it can't hurt to have his little guys strength on my side too.

On to the next cycle...

Pretty sure AF is here. I'm glad, too! Sometimes it takes forever, now I can start my successful cycle. I feel like this is going to be the one. I have a Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor and I'm going to be using Soy Isoflavones aka "Nature's Clomid".

I'm going to be temping and charting through Fertility Friend. This cycle is putting me over the 1 year mark, but I'm praying this is it!

Everything since that has been stark white. Now I'm just waiting on AF.
